LECTURES:

Evolution of a Modern Art Quilter

How does an average quilter make the transition from sewing Grandma's traditional quilts to creating extravagant art quilts?  Enjoy a fascinating one hour lecture and trunk show as Lisa reveals, quilt by quilt, the migration that led her from traditional quilting to producing innovative, contemporary quilts filled with bright colors and unusual techniques.

WORKSHOPS:

Background for Embellishment -- Full Day Workshop

Learn how to create a simple, yet striking background for embellishment using your favorite colors and fabrics and then finish the edges with a whole cloth facing technique that will handle straight, curved, or cut out edges.  All in one day!  Then take your art "quilt-let" home and spice it up with your favorite embellishments:  beads, buttons, hand couching, paint, foil, etc.  Just let your imagination go!

Painted Circles -- Half Day Workshop

Lisa will take you through the steps to create one-of-a-kind monoprints with acrylic paint, your stash, and supplies you have around the house!
